DIVINE DESTINY CATHEDRAL

Overseer Phillip C. Culver is the Executive Pastor of the Divine Destiny Cathedral.  His responsibilities are overseeing the accomplishment of the church’s mission and vision while leading the staff of the ministry in the attainment of its auxiliary and corporate goals.  He is a key strategic role in helping to assess resources and what it will take to actually put theory to practice.   He is also responsible for professionalism and excellence at DDC for the sake of people both inside and outside our walls.  He superintends the areas of administration, business, finance, human resource compliance, strategic planning, marketing, leadership development, facilities and overall ministry operations.

Born on February 6, 1978. He is the youngest child of Ethel M. Culver. Elder Culver gave his life to Christ at the age of 13. He united with St. John Baptist Church of Inwood, NY under the leadership of the late Rev. Jack Marks where he faithfully served for more than nine years in several capacities such as President of J. Marks Ensemble, Youth Council, Administration, Trustee, Public Relations team and the youngest member of the Pulpit Committee in the church’s history when Rev. Marks retired. Culver has participated in many young adult conferences at New York Theological Seminary and the Northern New Jersey Sunday School Association.

 

On August 21, 2015, Elder-Designate Culver was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s Church by Restoration Fellowship International Inc. and installed into the Office of Executive Pastor of Coney Island Cathedral, Brooklyn New York which he served faithfully.   In September 2017, following his assignment,Pastor Culver joined Divine Destiny Cathedral under the tutelage of Bishop James A. Jones Sr.  He was appointed Executive Pastor of DDC on the same day and immediately continued his assignment under the leadership of his spiritual father in ministry.  

 

Executive Pastor Culver has many outstanding achievements including but are not limited to being a Hofstra University graduate with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Business Computer Information Systems; currently pursuing a second Bachelors in Management and Marketing from Pace University. Executive Pastor Culver is an “on-time preacher” with an “on-time word” straight from the throne of God. Not only is he a man of God but he is a man of integrity, a man of valor and a friend.
